If you have a problem with your leather suite we can help you. We are your local experts when it comes to cleaning and restoring your leather furniture-upholstery-sofas etc.
Cleaning Time provides Leather Furniture Cleaning services throughout Nuneaton & Warwickshire. This is a safe, no mess – no fuss service where a leather suite cleaner is applied to remove all traces of dirt and soiling from the surface of the hide. This process takes some time, as it is completed by hand using expensive leather upholstery cleaning products which ensures that your valuable soft leather furnishing is restored to as close to as-new condition as possible.
Does Leather Repel All Stains?
Leather repels most stains if blotted up immediately. Of those that remain, most disappear over time. However, leather does absorb damaging oils.
The oil, perspiration and acids found on the human body build-up over time and become embedded in the leather. These oils cause deep and serious damage in your furniture.
Moreover, many store-bought cleaning products won’t keep leather supple. Without correct moisture, your leather furniture will experience cracking and dryness.
Atmospheric Soils — Consider the dust that builds up on a coffee table or desk over a week. This same dust is being deposited on your leather. Additionally to this dust, you add airborne cooking oils and atmospheric pollution that is present, to some degree, in every home.
Common Soils — These soils include the common dirt tracked in from outside and the garden by adults, kids and pets.
Dyes and Inks — The inks from newsprint in newspapers and from a leaky pen can readily be deposited on leather upholstery. Clothes such as denims can transfer dye onto leather in a process called dye transfer.
Leather Cleaning Survey:
This step allows us to gain all the information we require to provide professional Leather cleaning. As there are many different types of leather, we need to assess the best method for cleaning your Leather suite. We also provide valuable information about maintaining your Leather upholstery to keep it looking like new.
We then move on to examine each area of your leather sofas and do a spot cleaning (DEMO) to make sure the Leather is cleanable. This provides us with the information required to successfully clean your Leather sofas.
We also examine the stability of dyes and pigments to each Leather Cleaning Solution, so we can achieve the very best leather cleaning results safely.
Finally we check each panel of Leather for damage and wear before providing a written quotation for any Leather cleaning work. All of this only takes 15 minutes and is provided FREE of charge.
Dry Soil Removal:
We can efficiently remove soiling during the Leather cleaning process by first removing any dry soil using an industrial vacuum cleaner. Many of our clients are surprised by this step of the Leather cleaning process, but it enables us to clean both the leather and upholstered part of the furniture item.
Soil Extraction:
We then proceed to clean the Leather using a suitable detergent. This key step in the Leather cleaning process removes any remaining soil and grease adhered to the leather. By gently agitating the cleaning solution with a soft sponge, we can clean deep into the grain of the Leather and restore the colour and texture.
Leather Cleaning Rinse Process:
The next step in the Leather cleaning process is to thoroughly rinse the leather to remove the last traces of soil and grease. This prepares the leather surface for conditioning and finishing to provide enduring cleanliness of your leather.
Finishing the Leather Upholstery Cleaning:
We then proceed to apply a leather conditioner and finishing agent to the Leather surface and gently agitate the solution with a soft cloth. The finishing cream penetrates deep into the leather, providing a conditioning effect that locks away moisture in the leather and ensures a long lasting supple feel.
Polishing and Condition Leather Furniture:
After a short period of drying, the next step in the leather cleaning process is to polish the leather surface. We polish the surface of the leather using a cotton towel to leave a lustrous and long lasting shine.
Leather Protector to Protect From all your Accident Spills:
Finally we apply Leather protection. This product maintains the moisture balance in your Leather and resists the effect of daily spills and soiling. It also ensures a long lasting and supple feel.
